Who Is the Man Who Would Be the Senior Official of State?

 

There is a man, a prominent politician, who stated in a Republican fund-raising event in February, 2015. that he did not believe that President Barack Obama “loves America and he doesn't love you because he wasn't brought up the way you and I were brought up through love of this country.” Then, he said that his criticism of Mr. Obama’s upbringing should not be considered racist because the president was raised by “a white mother.”

That same man blasted Hillary Clinton as "too stupid to be president" because she stayed with her husband after the Monica Lewinsky scandal. He was later asked on “Meet the Press” about his own string of infidelities while married, and his response was: “Well, everybody does (cheats). And I'm a Roman Catholic, and I confess those things to my priest.” When asked why, if all people commit sins, he felt that raising the issue of Mr. Clinton’s infidelity is fair game, he said: “I’m not attacking the Clintons. I’m attacking Hillary.”

More than a decade ago, the man announced the end of his second marriage at a news conference in Bryant Park, New York, before telling his wife at the time, Donna Hanover. When she refused to leave the mayor’s official residence, where she and the two children had lived for nearly seven years, his divorce lawyer said that someone would have “to pry her off the chandelier to get her out of there.” On Mother’s Day, the lawyer said that Ms. Hanover was “howling like a stuck pig.” In 2007, CBS reported he was estranged from his two children.

The same man, while introducing Donald Trump and Mike Pence at a campaign rally in Youngstown, Ohio, said, “By the way, under those eight years, before Obama came along, we didn’t have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack in the United States. They all started when [Hillary] Clinton and Obama got into office.” Opps ...obviously 9/11 occurred during George W. Bush's presidency, despite an endless series of warning from the intelligence community. Then in the weeks following 9/11, there were the anthrax attacks via the U.S. Postal Service, the D.C. Snipers whose plan was to recruit jihadists, and a long string of attacks at American interests on foreign soil.

That same man attacked Hillary Clinton at a Trump rally in Ocala, Florida, telling a crowd concerning the attacks on 9/11: “I was there that day. I don’t remember seeing Hillary Clinton there.” It is true, Clinton was in Washington, D.C. that day. And, do you remember that President Bush was in Florida? The truth is Clinton arrived in New York City the day after 9/11, getting one of the few flights going into the city with fellow New York Senator Chuck Schumer, and photos show her standing right beside the man. Reports show he had even previously credited Clinton for her help in getting aid to the families of victims of the attacks, saying she had been “enormously helpful” after 9/11.

The same man, in 2006, acted as the lead counsel and lead spokesmen for Purdue Pharma, the makers of the opioid OxyContin, whose distribution led to the deadly Presciption Drug Epidemic and who misled the public about OxyContin's addictive properties. The agreement reached resulted in Purdue Pharma and some of its executives paying $634.5 million in fines (which many consider to be a drop in the bucket). Before legally representing Purdue Pharma, he also worked for the drug company through a consulting firm in which he has been a principal.

That same man spoke in support of the removal of the People's Mujahedin of Iran (MEK, also PMOI, MKO) from the United States State Department list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations. The group was on the State Department list from 1997 until September 2012. They were placed on the list for killing six Americans in Iran during the 1970s and attempting to attack the Iranian mission to the United Nations in 1992. He was a member of the support group whose members had been paid tens of thousands of dollars to speak in support of the MEK.

The same man has a devious relationship with the FBI in regards to the 2016 Presidential Campaign. He admitted he had heard about FBI Director James Comey’s letter about the renewed probe into Hillary Clinton's email before it was sent. Hours after Comey's letter was leaked, he went on public media and attributed the director's surprise action to "the pressure of a group of FBI agents who don't look at it politically... (and, he said) "the original conclusion (not to charge Clinton) is completely unjustified and almost a slap in the face to the FBI's integrity.” Along with his other connections to New York FBI agents, the man's former law firm has long been general counsel to the FBI Agents Association (FBIAA), which represents 13,000 former and current agents.

Who Is He?

He is Rudy Giuliani. Giuliani is reportedly the top contender for Secretary of State under President-elect Donald Trump’s administration. The former New York mayor was floated as a top candidate for U.S. Attorney General before Trump’s victory, but now sources close to White House transition say Giuliani may instead tackle foreign relations, according to The Associated Press.

Giuliani has called Hillary Clinton “the worst Secretary of State at least in our lifetime.” That opinion evidently does not run in his family. His own daughter Caroline confirmed to the New York Daily News that she was a supporter not of Donald Trump but for Hillary Clinton. She also supported President Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012.

As you can see by this entry, Giuliani has a considerable amount – tons? – of baggage. His memory slips, vindictive comments, and questionable connections discredit his interest in being Secretary of State. But, he is in lead for a political favor. Giuliani is a longtime friend of Donald Trump – a friendship evidently not shared by his own kin. Yes sir, some things truly make you go “hmmm ...”
