President Obama -- Who is he?

Oh my, attempts to vilify Barack Obama have some fundamentals believing that the President is the Anti-Christ. Hatred breeds terrible prejudice and violence. And, unfortunately, the displeasure of many citizens has turned President Obama into an object of evil.Just look at these Internet comparisons of President Obama and the Anti-Christ: 1.- He will come as a man of Peace. (Obama promises peace in Iraq, defeat for the US) 2.- He will come mounted on a white female horse. (Obama mother is white who had 6 African husbands) 3.- He will come to deceive. (Obama says he's a Christian but in fact he was born a Muslim, practices the Islamic religion, prays Friday’s facing Mecca) 4.- He will make himself the most powerful man on earth. 5.- He will try to destroy the Jewish People and Israel. ( Obama has said he loves the Arabs especially the Palestinians, hates Israel and Jews. Admires Hitler, Osama etc) 6.- He will present himself as good and righteous but in fact he's Satan himself. Violence is in his heart. 7.- Obama will help Al Qaida in its evil projects. 8.- Barack Hussein Obama is the “King of the South” predicted in the Bible. (Daniel .11, Kenya is south of Jerusalem) 9.- Obama comes to implant Muslim Sharia Law upon America. 10. Obama's Presidential car is nicknamed "The Beast." After reading this ridiculous information, I almost laughed aloud, but, then, I stopped and considered the intentions of the information. I reread the many allusions used to create images of terror -- Osama, Hitler, Beast, African, Mecca -- a buffet of alarm and horror. Then, I wondered just how many people read these comparisons and actually believed at least some of them. That, in itself, became a chilling thought. People put out ignorance like this supposedly to warn others about the potential dangers in their lives. They do this with the support of their interpretation of the Holy Bible, the most important book of faith in America. This distorted view of prophecy, for those who spout it, is unchallengeable with reason in any rebuttal because Revelations is open to interpretation by the Christian faith. In other words, any link to understanding in a Christian reader's mind creates Holy truth. Do people scour their every fear for an association to an unholy being in an effort to help others to find comfort and safety? I think not. The unholy behavior is a projection of their own hatred for a fellow man unlike themselves. More than just a scapegoat for the problems of the economy and healthcare, people now have crowned President Obama the supreme villain -- the Anti-Christ. The President is the boogie man for all ills. Not very long ago, in July 2008, the country gave George W. Bush at the 30 quarters mark as President, the worst approval rating of 29% (Gallop) of any President at that time spent in office. How quickly America forgets. And, how quickly America seems to criticize. Everyone wants instantaneous results and satisfaction across the board, but no one wants to sacrifice anything. It reminds of the old blues song, "Everybody Wants to Get to Heaven, But Nobody Wants to Die." Spreading myths, creating distrust, fabricating threats to the general public, and dehumanization are all recognized steps in the process to create social, emotional and psychological distance between people. President Obama's love for America has been questioned so soon after his glorious, uplifting election and inauguration. After the failed policies of the past, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Thomas Jefferson combined could work miracles of reparation no faster. In his 1955 book, Will Herberg wrote this about the American way of life: "Americans cannot go on making money or achieving worldly success simply on its own merits; such 'materialistic' things must, in the American mind, be justified in 'higher' terms, in terms of 'service' or 'stewardship' or 'general welfare.'" For America in the 21st Century, these words ring true. President Obama seeks change and a chance to implement this change for a better American way of life. We, as Americans, must work together, not like partisan politicians, to produce positive results.
